ROMAN ZAWODNY [US] (http://www.myspace.com/romanzawodny)

Roman Zawodny is most assuredly one of the most talented techno DJ’s to come of the Northwest United States dance music scene. Having spent ample time banging out massive sets at some of the most hailed parties and events throughout the 90’s, he built his brand on the decks, and cultivated his own unique sound in the studio. He is also the man behind a legion of Northwest nightlife impresarios who credit him for their start. His production encompasses the evolution of his style: a jacking, tribal, melodic sound that has won him many fans, notable appearances (1015 Folsom in SF and The Docks in Toronto to name a few) and much respect throughout the western hemisphere. With support from a list of names that reads like a virtual who is who of techno, Roman’s signature productions are being supported by many of the globes hottest techno DJ’s. Dave Clarke, Carl Cox, Cristian Varela, Hertz, Donnell Knox, Virgil Enzinger, The Advent, Submerge 101, Sinisa Tamamovic, Spiros Kaloumenos, Woody Mcbride, Derrick May, Pedro Delgardo, A.Paul, Dave Angel, Trevor Rockliffe, Robert Armani, DJ Murphy, Colin Dale, Elton D, Bass Mooy, DJ Bold, Chris Cowie, Stephen Brown, Max Walder, and The Tattoo Detectives have all rocked his tracks to rave reviews at nightclubs and prestigious music festivals throughout the world! Roman is also the co-founder of Reldz Recordings, a renowned digital techno label featuring many top notch artists. Currently Roman is running Mad Hatter-HRD Recordings USA/UK. Mad Hatter-HRD, a subdivision of Mad Hatter Recordings UK, was created by Roman Zawodny, considered to be one of today’s leading producers of warehouse techno music in the USA, in order to push the harder edge material he’s known for producing and performing. He selects what he feels are the best producers from around the world that bring something unique to the table...whether it’s Jerome Baker or Wyndell Long originally from Chicago, Anthony Dupont from France, DJ Devious from Australia, James Hammer from Minneapolis, Beatcompute from Sweden....each of these artists has gained the respect of industry heavy-weights like Carl Cox, Dave Clarke, Derrick May, DJ Rush, Cristian Varela, DJ Murphy and many others. Mad Hatter-HRD is dedicated to bringing quality strictly underground techno music with attitude to the dancefloor. Feedback from the industry: Roman Zawodny’s tracks have been played several times by Dave Clarke on Whitenoise, his global techno radio weekly broadcast from Holland. On July 11, 2008, Derrick May played RZ-Flux at Les Ardentes in Leige Belgium and commented that “the track was Cool” and to “keep up the good work”. On March 24, 2007, Carl Cox played one of Roman’s newest tracks titled “Substance One” at the Ultra Music Festival at the WMC in Miami in the Carl Cox And Friends Tent in front of 5000 people. When asked about including this techno stormer in his set, he replied “love the track, it fit in really well.”
